Your personal statement in 3 steps

Writing a personal statement for UNI can be daunting but you need to think of it in 3 simple steps!


Step 1) Your 1st paragraph needs to state why you interest in the subject.
What was it that made you think...I want to study Women studies! (I know subjects like this exist)

Step 2) Relate your Alevel/BTEC subjects to your chosen degree course and mention any wider reading or activiites you have done surrounding the subject. Example: I currently read the BMJ on a weekly basis. A recent article on the development of  DNA cells heavily linked to the hormone topic in Biology where I learnt....

Step 3) This should have more of a focus on your extra-curricular activities to show that you are a well-rounded person and then you can conclude by SELLING YOURSELF! Why do you think you would be a good student on the course
